NASA not taking humans on first flight of new rocket
NASA has dropped the idea of putting astro- nauts aboard the first integrated flight of the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft – Exploration Mission-1 (EM-1).
This is the first in a broad series of explo- ration missions that plans to take humans to deep space, and eventually to Mars.
India to launch Rs. 10,000 crore Deep Ocean Mission
India plans to launch a Rs.10,000 crore Deep Ocean Mission in December to carry out research to harness ocean resources in a “responsible manner”.
India’s first uterine transplant performed
A 26-year-old Baroda-based woman under- gone the surgery in Pune on 18 May.
The womb transplanted from the recipient’s mother, Pune’s Galaxy Care Laprascopy Institute (GCLI), where surgery took place.
The first womb transplant was first performed in 2012 in Sweden.
